Spring in Saskatchewan

As the business at the Legislature continues and we keep holding the government accountable for the decisions they make, spring has arrived throughout the constituency and people are busy with spring planning and planting. Communities are busy cleaning up after winter and preparing for summer visitors and functions.

Spring is also the time for community trade shows. These are a great opportunity for local businesses to promote new products and bring forward their plans for the summer season. If anyone ever questions the vitality of rural Saskatchewan, come out to a trade show as they are alive with activity and a great deal of business being done.

I look forward to seeing you at a trade show, a community celebration, a parade or a function throughout the constituency. The summer of 2007 will be both a busy and an exciting one with 100th anniversaries for the communities of Sintaluta and Balgonie.

Spring is also when we take some time to appreciate our mothers. May 13th is Mother’s Day and people throughout the province will be celebrating with and thanking our mothers for all they do. Happy Mother’s Day
