Caucus Makes Plans for Fall Session

Yes, it’s that time of year… harvest is underway, parents have begun their planning for the start of another school year and there seems to be a lot of garden produce being left on doorsteps throughout the constituency. Make no mistake, summer is still in full gear and there is still lots of summer fun to be had but harvest and the Saskatchewan Party caucus retreat means the start of fall to me.

Each year the Saskatchewan Party caucus gets together for a few days to make plans for the fall session of the Legislature. We have just concluded those meetings in North Battleford and I am very pleased with all that has been accomplished.

During this fall’s session we will continue to bring the concerns of our constituents forward, holding the government accountable for the choices they’ve made. As health critic, I will continue to fight for families in pain. There are gaps in the healthcare system and people are falling through them. Still, the NDP continue to make choices with windfall profits from oil and gas that are not helping the people of this province.

Until we have a chance to face the government in the house this fall, work continues as normal. I will be meeting with constituents, and taking part in the events around the constituency that celebrate rural life, our families and our history. I look forward to seeing you there.
